E-bike socket designed for installing and removing compatible cassettes on Engwe hub-drive motors without removing motor wiring

Centre clearance for E-Bike wiring is 20mm with a 12-spline 23mm OD tool fitting.

Compatibility: Engwe EP-2 Pro, M20, L20 and Engine X models*

Essential Tool Requirements
  • 12-Spline Interface: Matches the internal teeth on Engwe's standard Shimano-style multi-speed freewheels.
  • Enlarged Center Bore: Must feature a hollow inner diameter of at least 15mm to 19mm to safely clear the e-bike's rear axle hardware and wiring.
Freewheel or cassette?

Freewheels and cassettes are different types of bicycle drivetrain components and are fitted to the rear wheel in different ways. Although they are sometimes incorrectly referred to interchangeably, the Engwe models listed above use a threaded 7-speed freewheel. Make sure you order the correct type when replacing your rear gearing.

*Compatibility can vary between model years and individual bike specifications. We recommend checking the freewheel currently fitted to your bike before ordering.

Why buy from Bath Outdoors?

Unlike many online retailers, Bath Outdoors is an independent bike shop with a team of experienced mechanics and over 60 years of combined experience in the bicycle and e-bike industry.

We supply quality replacement components for a range of Engwe e-bike models from established, quality-assured manufacturers, including KMC, Shimano and SRAM. We select components based on their performance, reliability and durability, rather than simply choosing the cheapest available option.

Importantly, these are the types of quality components our own mechanics use when servicing and repairing customers' e-bikes.

Using good-quality replacement components can provide better long-term value. Durable components can help maintain reliable shifting and drivetrain performance while potentially reducing the frequency of component replacement and helping to keep maintenance costs under control.

Buy with confidence from an independent specialist bike shop that uses the quality components we sell in our own workshop.
