Bath Outdoors say - Well, we don't actually make any money selling this. We just want to have it in the shop! Travel truing tool for your bike whilst touring, bikepacking, bike holidays where you need to be able to build out of the box without the hassle of a local bike shop trip to sort out a heavy handed baggage handlers bike GBH etc..
The Abbey Bike Tools Stu Stick Rotor Truing Tool is so named because it's the brainchild of Cyclocrossworld founder Stu Thorne. Functionally, it works in much the same way as any other rotor truing tool, with slots that will grip and wrangle your disc brake rotor back into place when it starts rubbing and a wedge to spread the pads of the brake calliper, as needed, to fit the rotor back in place. The difference, though, is that it's lighter and more compact than similar tools – oh, and it will open your beer too!
Stu especially asked for a rotor truing tool made from aluminium, so that it would be light but durable enough for the job. The Stu Stick weighs just 44g and is small enough to be stowed easily in a Hydro pack or bike pack – perfect for those who travel or race regularly. Weight limits and tool selection will cease to be a worry – there’s even a hole to let you loop a lace through and carry it on your belt. Plus, after a hard day's work, you'll never be without a bottle opener again.
